Working in partnership with Pineview Housing Association, action for children's community based youth skills programmes are aimed at 16-19 year olds who experiance considerable disadvantage in accessing sustainable employment.
The challange programmes are designed to support young people who have just enetred into the early stages of employability support. This unique training opportunity not only improves learners confidence, employability and life chances, but also encourages them to take a definitive pride in contributing towards making positive improvement towards and identified community issue.
How does the programme work?
You will see young adults carrying out general maintenance repairs and doing general landscaping in and around the area. This will also include an introduction to C.S.C.S and health and safety on site as well as other identified tasks.
Each young adult is assigned a dedicated key worker to support them through all aspects of the programme and progression into further training, education and employment opportunities.
Work commences on the 4th June and will last for 5 weeks.
