On the 6th September 2022 the Scottish Government announced their Programme for Government. As part of this programme, the government intends to put in place emergency legislation to freeze rents until 31 March 2023. This means there is a freeze on increasing rent charges until 31 March 2023. This will have no direct immediate impact on Pineview tenants as there are no planned rent changes in this period. Any rent changes for Pineview tenants would not be planned to happen before 1 April 2023.
Any changes to the rents for Pineview tenants will be part of our short, medium and longer term budget planning, and any proposals to change rents will be part of our consultation process with tenants.
