 2025 STOCK CONDITION SURVEY

The Association carries out regular stock condition survey work to ensure that we have good independent professional information on the condition of our stock that allows us to plan for future maintenance and improvement plans, such as when to replace kitchens, bathrooms, windows etc.  In addition, the Scottish Government has set targets to ensure that housing stock meets the Scottish Housing Quality Standard (SHQS) and the Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing (EESSH).  In order to ensure that we meet these standards the Association needs to carry out regular surveys of our properties. The previous survey was carried out during 2024 and the next survey is now due.

The Association has appointed JMP, (http://jmpsurveyors.com/index.html), to carry out a stock condition survey of a sample of our properties.  The survey data collected will be used to determine Pineview’s future investment needs, future upgrades to tenants homes, and assess compliance with the above.

We anticipate the survey commencing  Monday 7th July 2025 with the aim of completing by mid-August 2025.  A surveyor from JMP will be calling at various homes within these dates to carry out the surveys.  If they find you are not at home they will try and gain access to another property in the area or call back at a later date or time.  If you want to make an appointment suitable to you, please contact JMP on 0800 917 9295.

The survey involves a visual survey of windows, doors, kitchens, bathrooms etc. as well as the roof, external walls and other external features.  It will not involve any disruption to your home.

The Surveyors will carry photographic ID along with a letter of authority issued by the Association on our headed paper.  You should ask to see these before allowing the Surveyor into your home.

Should you have any concerns or queries about the stock condition survey, please contact JMP on 0800 917 9295 Monday to Friday 9.00am to 12.00pm and 2.00pm to 5.00pm.

We very much hope that your will be able to assist in this and would like to thank you in advance for your help.  Your assistance with this survey will be of benefit to all tenants.

 Yours sincerely

K Byrne
